GENERAL DESCRIPTION
CESTCHEM 2688 is a special blend of volatile neutralizing amines that is applied in steam boiler as steam condensate line corrosion inhibitor. The differing distribution ratio of volatile amines form the basis of this formulation to protect short, medium and long steam condensate piping system from carbonic acid corrosion. CESTCHEM 2688 is designed to be used in any type of steam boiler system.
PRODUCT APPLICATION
CESTCHEM 2688 should be fed continuously to the preboiler section through a chemical metering pump.

DOSAGE AND CONTROL
Dosage of CESTCHEM 2688 will depend on the total CO2 content of the feed water, water evaporation rate and condensate pH. As a guide, 4ppm of CESTCHEM 2688 is required to react with 1ppm of dissolved CO2 based on steaming rate. Control the product feed rate by maintaining return line condensate pH at 7.5 to 8.5.
REGULATORY INFORMATION
CESTCHEM 2688 complies with US FDA 21 CFR § 173.310 (Boiler Water Additives) for use in treating boilers or steam lines where the steam produced may contact edible products. CESTCHEM 2688 is registered with NSF Nonfood Compounds Program. NSF Registration No. 149285
PRODUCT HANDLING INFORMATION
CESTCHEM 2688 is a corrosive liquid. Use protective clothing, gloves and goggles when handling. In case of accident, flush the affected areas with plenty of water and consult a physician as soon as possible. Store the product with closure upwards in a cool, dry and well- ventilated place. Always be assured that the container cap is tightly closed.
