Ahmad Farid Sainuri (Parti Cinta Sabah – Petagas candidate) and Shahelmey Yahya (BN- Tg Keramat candidate) are two young leaders who are contesting in the 2020 16th Sabah State election today.
Ahmad Farid, is known to many students at MARA to be one-of-the-kind. “He has that something special in him that is noticeable to anyone and has been set as an example for other students to emulate,” said an ex-student, Ezekiel, who now works as an Engineer abroad. These are some of the antics of Ahmad Farid as he visited the polling stations around Putatan.
Also a favourite is BN-Shahelmey Yahya, who is perhaps one of the most active candidate in the last two weeks of campaigning. An engineer by training, Shahelmey is a techno-person who comes up with various tech-related jargons when speaking to youth who shares the same interest in computers and developments in the field of information technology, including the gaming industry. Shahelmey can become a leader who steers youths towards technology given the opportunity.
Abdul Farid and Shahelmey are two candidates who should do well in the election. They are smart and have good public relations skills. Their only shortcomings are probably the lack of time they spent to make an introduction to all voters at their respective constituency. However, that can be rectified in time. Humility is an aspect that, if they continue to foster, will lead them both to the greatest of heights and gain the respect of many.
We believe that these individuals will also do well in the election, this time around: DSP Mohd Shafie Apdal (definitely), Datuk Dr Jeffrey Kitingan, Datuk Ewon Benedick, Datuk Seri Panglima Bung Mokhtar, Datuk Seri Panglima Hajiji Haji Noor, Datuk Seri Panglima Masidi Manjun, Datuk Seri Panglima Maximus Ongkili, Ginger Phoong, Tan Sri Chong Kah Kiat.
The presidents of some parties are expected to go home empty handed.
