Just yesterday, I was driving out of Imago and stopped at the red traffic light. Quite a normal thing to do, really. Nothing that is worth shouting about. But then, suddenly I hear the car behind me honk. And then again honk. And again, and again. I was, at first confused and then angry. If I was a new driver, I might just go and cause an accident – all because of the driver behind me. But I realised I had an evil driver behind me. And an impatient one at that. His passenger even gave me the middle finger and they drove passing my car, laughing and jeering.
So what’s happening to our drivers? Is this road bullying the new trend? Shouldn’t it be nipped at the bud?
My colleague said it happened to her so many times, she doesn’t care anymore. But is pushing things under the rug the answer to such problems? One day, one of our loved ones might be behind the wheel, and they might just decide to drive on when they should not. What then?
